Escalade

Climbing is a sport that awakens all the senses! The contact with the rock and the search for holds provides indescribable pleasure.
Whatever its level, after two or three routes covered we get caught up in the game, progress comes, sensations become more refined. One or two abseils will finish giving self-confidence and mastering the equipment and rope maneuvers.

Haute Maurienne offers a wide variety of rocks (Gneiss, limestone, quartzite, cargneule) which each offer a different style of climbing. Other sites are quickly accessible: Susa Valleys and Aosta Valley in Italy, Cerces, Briançonnais…
The main routes in the valley

Very varied types of rock, original sites like the Monolith of Sardières, the Marie-Christine cliff the pillar of Faudan or the Grand Châtelard: climbing on routes of several lengths will have everything to enchant you. In half-day for the 3 or 4 length routes or on a full day for the longer ones, come and gain height and familiarize yourself with rope maneuvers, organization of relays, abseiling…

Climbing in the high mountains
After a very early approach walk, we will change our pace for a few hours of climbing at altitude, often easy. The breaks at the relays allow you to take advantage of the landscapes, to soak up this universe where we often pass only too quickly … The pleasure of contact with rocks bathed in the sun, with frank grips will leave you with strong memories. Red edges, edges of the sun, bottom of Etache, eastern edge of the Aiguille Doran, Aiguille de la Vanoise are places that I like to travel.
